Pat Pending
Stow-B-Low.net, LLC is a Washington State registered Limited Liability Company. The Company was created to develop, manufacture and market products utilizing the concept patented as a Folding Crustacean Trap. The inventor, Jamie Harju, was joined by Richard D. Meyers who has provided the startup funding and is currently the managing member.
The Folding Crustacean Trap Patent was filed as a patent pending in late 2006, and the first product was the Crab Pod® introduced to the public in January 2007 at the Seattle Boat Show.
We owe our debut at the Seattle Boat Show to the Offshore Store of Seattle. We had a card-table-size space in their booth. The crowds blocked the aisle all day long as people stopped to see this revolutionary new product. We had to stay out of the show several days so that we could make more Crab Pods. Needless to say, the Crab Pod was a hit!
In April of 2008, we received the first shipment from our new manufacturing facility, and now have plenty of supply.
Our Stow-B-Low website is now "Crustacean Central." We plan to introduce the Shrimp Pod next year and adapt our stowable design to other crustaceans.
Our early business strategy was to set up dealers throughout the Northwest. After careful review, we decided that this strategy was not serving our customers. We have concluded that counting on dealers and retail outlets to promote our product will not give you, our customer, the best access to the Crab Pod®.
We have decided to market the Crab Pod® and our other new products and accessories primarily via the Stow-B-Low website. Selling direct allows us to pass along a large portion of the dealer markup to you our customer!
We are continuing to maintain a busy show schedule. At the shows, you can meet the inventor, save the shipping cost, and take advantage of special promotional deals that will give you an even greater value.
We would like to thank several friends and family members that have made our business possible. Without their support and encouragement we could not have gotten this business going.
Jamie's father, Jamie Sr., who is a commercial artist and sign maker in Anacortes Washington, developed our logo, made our banner, and generally gave us a professional appearance. Anacortes is our home port in the North Puget Sound.
Jamie's Uncle Andy, also located in Anacortes, developed our first web site and is a Marketing Partner with us under ulti-media.com. Uncle Andy is located in Anacortes.
Jamie's mom financed the filing of the patent.
We could not have established our manufacturing facility without Lucy and Bin Xu owners of KY International, LLC, overseas OEM Services. Lucy and Bin live in Kent, Washington and have become a major part of the success of our company.
We are looking forward to a great crab season and a great year for sales!
